Current Activities at St Margaret’s
For S1 students and above. We meet every second Sunday in the Church Hall between 7pm and 9pm during term time. Lots of activities including sports, games, crafts and bingo. Bring a friend. Contact BSMYC@aol.com for more information.
If you fancy a fun game of badminton why not come along to the Church Hall on Monday or Thursday at 2.00pm? Experienced players or beginners.
Scottish Country Dancing
On a Monday evening from 7.30 -9.30 pm. No experience necessary, all welcome.
Tots and Toddlers
We meet from 9.30am to 11am on Tuesday mornings in the Church Hall during term time. Age range from birth to nursery age although any pre-school child would be welcome. Children to be accompanied by an adult.
Our cafe – managed and run by volunteers – is open on a Wednesday from 12.30 pm serving soup, sandwiches, salads and homebakes.
Afternoon Social Club
Our social club meet at 1.30pm on Wednesdays to play carpet bowls, scrabble and dominoes. We enjoy each others company along with a cup of tea and cake and would welcome anyone who would like to pop along and see if it’s for them.
Bereavement Support Group
Meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month in Room 2 of the hall at 2pm. Offering a listening ear and a friendly chat.
Rainbows, Brownies and Guides meet in the hall on Thursday and Friday evenings. For further information contact the church office on 737294.
If you are looking for Fellowship, Faith and Fun, then come and join the Guild – all are welcome. Come along to one meeting and give us a try.
For three years 2018-2021, we are concentrating on a strategy ‘One Journey, Many Roads’, and during the session 2019- 2020, we have a theme, ‘Companions on the Road’.
When do we meet?
From September to March.
Afternoon Guild is on the last Tuesday of the month at 2.30pm.
Evening Guild is on a Tuesday fortnightly at 7.30pm.
At each meeting we have a speaker on an activity. some of the highlights for 2019 – 2020 are Tai Chi, Scotland’s Garden Scheme, A Quiz Night and Flower Arranging.

Fundraising – what for?
We have two main fundraising events each year. money we raise is donated to Guild Projects, our own church, and some local charities. The Guild Projects for 2018 – 2020 are Malawi Fruits, Journeying Together, The Boys’ Brigade, Seema’s Project, Join up the dots and the Sailor’s Society.
Our Coffee Morning will be held on Saturday 2 November from 10am to 12 noon. we have the usual stalls – cake and candy, gifts and crafts, tombola and luxury hampers to raffle. bring your friends and have a blether and some homebaking.
our concert this year, will be held on Tuesday 18 February and we hope to have the “Lydian Singers”. more details to follow.

We meet at 3pm in the hall on the last Saturday of each month except June, July and December. There is time for crafts, stories, music and something to eat.
